37 South Elliott Place in Brooklyn’s Fort Greene Historic District. The narrowest building (only 13 feet wide) supported by the Fund, this 1873 property provided a big surprise when its asphalt shingles were removed and a vertical board-and-batten finish was discovered. The 3-1/2 story row house was then restored to its original appearance with this new information.
