Living Landmarks Gala

Living Landmarks Celebration 2006

Meredith and Tom Brokaw, Norman Mailer, Norris Church Mailer, Barry Diller, Liz Smith, Amy and Howard Rubenstein, Matilda and Mario Cuomo

Close to 450 guests joined us at Cipriani 42nd Street on October 31st to help raise more than $850,000—our biggest gala ever! We proudly welcomed our newest group of Living Landmarks: Tom and Meredith Brokaw; Mario and Matilda Cuomo—Lew Rudin Award for Outstanding Public Service; Barry Diller and Diane von Furstenberg; Norman and Norris Church Mailer; and Howard and Amy Rubenstein.

Living Landmark Liz Smith hosted the gala and Landmark Peter Duchin and his orchestra played. Louise Hirschfeld, President of the Al Hirschfeld Foundation, donated three signed lithographs by her late husband, one of our earliest Living Landmarks. An online auction of the works coincided with the gala.
