Conservancy Young Landmarks Council hosted a salon evening with Pulitzer Prize winning author Robert Caro at the Union Club of the City of New York, on April 5. In what was an evening full of insight and lively discussion, the author talked about his book “The Power Broker,” which was chosen by the Modern Library as one of the hundred greatest nonfiction books of the 20th century.
“No one was ever able to stand in his way. He got every project built that he wanted,” Caro said when asked who was the most effective opponent of Robert Moses.
