The New York Landmarks Conservancy was given a special tour of the 9/11 Memorial by the designer, architect Michael Arad. Thanks Michael!
Mr. Arad’s design was selected as the winner from over 5,200 entries. The memorial honors the victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993 and does a wonderful job of balancing a place to mourn while also creating a new and vibrant place to see New York and its many workers, visitors and residents continuing on as a community; It reflects the life of the city.
