January 24, 2013 – 40th Anniversary Celebration Kick-off Party

Thank you to our hundreds of wonderful friends who helped us kick off our 40th anniversary at the US Custom House, the first building saved by the Landmarks Conservancy.

Landmarks Preservation Commission Chair Robert Tierney brought a message from Mayor Mike Bloomberg declaring January 24th as “New York Landmarks Conservancy Day.”

Living Landmark Liz Smith thanked the Conservancy for introducing her to the wonderful world of preservation – a change from her usual movie star crowd.
