General Theological Seminary’s Latest Proposal
The New York Sun reports that the General Theological Seminary has presented to Community Board 4 a “compromise design” to build a seven-story, mixed-use residential building on Ninth Avenue and a five-story administrative building on West 20 Street between Ninth and Tenth Avenues.
Local opposition had argued against the Seminary’s plans to erect a fifteen-story glass condominium on its Chelsea Campus.
The Conservancy’s Public Policy and Sacred Sites committees will review the latest proposal on May 24.
